i actually like autotune!

Hey Anthony, what are some of your favorite albums with autotune? Let's go look!

James Blake by James Blake

Alright, let's start over here with the one and only James Blake. Since the beginning of his career or, you know, since this album, I've always loved how he has applied autotune on his tracks to sort of give his ballads, and give his stunning angelic vocal performances, a bit of a weird, alien, robotic feel.

Discovery by Daft Punk

I mean, you can't go wrong with Daft Punk's Discovery. The way they use autotune on this, I think, kind of like lends itself to the futuristic dance vibes, the glamorous dance vibes they are trying to pull off on this record.

brat by Charli xcx

You know, what would an autotune video be without Charli xcx, come on. I mean, brat is one of the best autotune pop albums of all time. The way Charli sings through autotune, it just makes her voice sound just amped up, electrified, almost like a guitar in some respects. I love it. Records like this wouldn't sound the same without that autotune doing what it's doing.

Maya by M.I.A.

Any number of M.I.A. songs where she is using, like, a little dash of autotune on her tracks. I actually like the way that she uses it and sings through it sometimes, not even really caring all that much about the way that it makes her voice sound. She's kind of giving that very monotone rap affectation, or even singing a little bit out of key or having some incorrect notes that she's kind of transitioning from one pitch to the next.

Yeah, those are some of my favorite albums with autotune.

What do you think?
