Menace Ruine- "Salamandra"
New Tracks1 CommentComing out October 2nd on Profound Lore Records, here is a track from the forthcoming Menace Ruine album, "Salamandra." For years, I've known this label to release some very forward-thinking metal music, and the Canadian band Menace Ruine fits in perfectly with that ethos.
For years, the band has been experimenting with the sounds of drone, black metal, doom metal, and even elements of medieval folk. This new track incorporates at least two of those styles with a sharp, mind-numbing organ arpeggios set to some haunting female vocals and distant drums. It's strange to say the least, but it's also go a really charming, mysterious vibe that I can't deny has a hold on me.
