The LP seems to get most of its power from samples of r&b, hip hop, and electrofunk from the late 70s and early 80s; but even though there's a retro aesthetic going on here, there's an experimental nature to this music that seems very modern. It's something fans of just about anybody on the Brainfeeder label--Flying Lotus, Teebs, Ras G, the Gaslamp Killer--can appreciate.
