More Prince vault recordings on the way with new collection, 'Timeless'

Following the April release of "With This Tear," Prince's estate have announced a new, career-spanning retrospective gathering together 10 recordings consigned to the singer's Paisley Park vault between 1977 and his death in 2016. The ten songs on Timeless are presented in chronological order, with new single "Stone" recorded in the spring of 1995, four years later than "With This Tear."

The track appears to have been written not by Prince himself but by soul artist Sandra St. Victor and her songwriting partners Tom Hammer and Jules Van Even. Another St. Victor track, "Sanctuary," was repurposed by Prince for the track "Soul Sanctuary" from 1996's Emancipation.
