Panchiko has announced their third studio album, Chimera, is due out April 9 via Nettwerk.

With the announcement, Panchiko also released a new single, "One Car Hits Another," featuring Brooklyn-based guitarist and singer-songwriter Mei Semones.

In a press release, keyboardist and producer Andy Wright describes imagining a "serene waltz" of a car crash with spectators singing along, watching the havoc unfold before them in slow motion.

"A hand shake, or a car crash, the matter of fact news report describing the incident never makes it clear where the true devastation lies… one car hits another… one hand shakes another; they’re both meetings, technically," Wright says.

Over the past few years, the band members have become fathers and full-time musicians, recording Chimera in their own studio through a lens of their unconventional path to online virality and the decades-long dedication of their fanbase.

Panchiko is currently on a sold-out headlining tour throughout the UK and Ireland. More tour dates will likely be added very soon.
