The Norwegian art pop duo Smerz are set to embark on a spring and summer tour across North America next month, promoting their breakout 2025 record, Big city life. But, before all the live shows begin, the band will be dropping a new EP called Easy, set for release May 15 via Escho. They also shared a thematically appropriate single, "Spring summer."

Today's "Spring summer" is hazy, downbeat, yet still glistening in synth pop production.

"Many of Big city life’s songs are rooted in specific stories," said Smerz in a press release before adding, "this Easy EP presented itself in a more open-ended process — almost like a daily journal." After recording the song "Easy" for the 2025 album, they continued, they "went off on a tangent," saying: "It began as a snapshot of a moment, one that was about to become our spring last year, and was finished moving into spring of 2026."

The North American leg of the Big city life tour begins May 14 in Los Angeles and continues until the end of the month. Tickets are available now.

The band are currently on tour in the UK, playing at Gorilla in Manchester tonight. They'll then travel to other cities in the country before returning to Europe for gigs in Dublin, IE and Oslo, NO.
