Stream 1 Minute Miracles' New Album

1 Minute Miracles drops a new album and changes his tone a bit, shifting into a much more dance-oriented style. Yeah, his initial string of instrumentals were danceable as well, but the his hip hop influences seem to have been switched out for something way more house-oriented.

1 Minute Miracles- "Ride My Bike XX Paperboy" (ft. Cracker & Ivorie)

New Tracksadmin1 Comment

Hey, it's the first 1 Minute Miracles track that actually features guest MCs. Apparently the Canadian beat producer has worked with these two guys before. Here's the back story:

I met Cracker & Ivorie at a Rap-Battle back in ‘00. They only battled one round each and lost. Maybe they lost because their opponents spit 32-bars of fire and their 8-bar response of weird pop-culture references and nonsensical sexual innuendo didn’t cut it with the crowd? I can’t say … But for me, I immediately identified with them. I produced two albums for them under their label Jello Nipple Records (RIP), “Missy Elliot’s Personal Trainers” and “Moldy Cheese At A Crackhouse.”

A couple weeks ago, I bumped into them at the mall and they told me they wanted to record some new tracks. This is the result of our first session together in over 10 years …. EDIT: this is NSFW

Cracker and Ivorie are pretty cartoony, but I don't know what else I was expecting now that I think of their names. They don't exactly spit with impressive flows, but they make up for it to an extent with some pretty bright personalities.

Through the highs and lows of it, 1 Minute Miracles' production just feels appropriate. The hooks feels like an old school funk groove, while the dark  slapped bassline in the verses could be something from a 90s alt metal song.

It's definitely a change of pace for the 1 Minute Miracles project, but considering artists like Blow Fly have lead semi-successful careers creating profane funk tunes, it's a shift that's not too hard to swallow.

1 Minute Miracles- Death Grips Remixes: Parte Deux

New TracksadminComment

Back in October, 1 Minute Miracles took up Death Grips on its offer to remix any number of tracks on Exmilitary.

Nearly every track on the album has been remixed by 1 Minute Miracles via a two-part series of short reinventions that segue into one another pretty nicely. The first was dropped via SoundCloud, but the second was initially offered on Greetings, which was as short run of home-burned CDs sent to 1 Minute Miracles fans in greeting cards.

The second half of the Death Grips remixes located on this CD is streaming above, and it's just as impressive as the first half. These tracks really get reinvented in ways that are difficult to describe. Some moments are cold and ambient, and others are fun and funky. The tracks being remixed here include "Klink," "Cut Throat," "Culture Shock," "5D," "Thru the Walls," "Known For It," and "Blood Creepin."

Download this track and the entire Greetings collection for free over at Noise Trade.

1 Minute Miracles In the Mail

Well, here is some free music, but it's not a digital download linked somewhere in this blogpost. This, my friends, is physical. My favorite Canadian beatmusic project, 1 Minute Miracles, is now offering its entire discography on one cd, which includes the recent Death Grips remix I posted. The CD will also feature the unreleased second half of the Death Grips remixes. All ya gotta do is "follow" or "like" this guy on Twitter or Facebook. Then I suppose you hit him up using one or the other.

According to this blog post, these CDs will be mailed out on October 31st, and will include the following shiz:

1. a card (it could be a birthday, Mother’s Day or whatever) 2. a personalized greeting 3. a hand-doodled CD which will contain all the tracks I’ve released to date and a special unreleased bonus medley of Death Grips remixes 4. individually numbered card — only 199 copies will be pressed and sent

If you've enjoyed this dude's past work, no reason not to jump on a bunch of free music.

1 Minute Miracles Demos

A recently dropped set of demos and early work from 1 Minute Miracles, which can only make the trajectory of this Canadian beatmeister more interesting. It's titled Wild Stepss, and stream its eight tracks above.

Find more recent work from this guy on his SoundCloud. Hopefully, that album he told me about is still on the way.

1-Minute Miracles Remixes Cults

New Tracksadmin2 Comments

If you watch my reviews on the reg, you know how I feel about Cults. So, imagine my hesitation when I saw that my new favorite beatmeister remixed one of their songs.

Well, truth be told, 1-Minute Miracles performed like a plastic surgeon of the sonic persuasion on this one, because this reinvention of Cults' "Go Outside" sounds absolutely nothing like the original. I don't even think I would have guessed cults was even sampled here if it weren't stated.

Of course, 1-Minute Miracles has still been posting new beats on his Tumblr, and I can't wait for the guy's full-length to finally drop.

Even More 1-Minute Miracles

If you're a regular visitor of this website, chances are you know about this dude by now. In fact, I've posted about him so many times, I guess I should give him some kind of abbreviation or nickname. 1MM works, right? He's a Canadian beat producer who's been releasing short, instrumental tidbits for the past few months now. An album is currently in the works, but it's nice to see that hasn't stopped him from releasing new material to his growing camp of fans.

With "DryHUMP" and "RUN," 1MM assembles two of his smoothest beats yet. Both feature some finely diced vocals and strings. Nice to see this guy honing in on some nice sounds.

Alien Tits by 1 Minute Miracles Cats by 1 Minute Miracles

Last time we heard from 1-Minute Miracles was when the announcement was made that an album is now in the works. This Canadian beat producer has been churning out short instrumentals on his website for a few months now, and nearly everything he's done, in my opinion, has been of a very high quality.

On these two tracks, the soul and R&B influences get turned up, and some serious miracles start happening. I could totally see Bobby Womack singing over "Alien Tits," and the chopped vocal sample on "Cats" isn't bad, too.

Stream above, and hang tight for the new album.
